  My husband and I visited this beautiful stone church tonight. The church offers a free community meal every Wednesday evening. Don and I decided to go to the free meal as a way to meet some of the people in our community. New to this area...moved here from Oregon. ..we also don't have a new church yet. We have missed the fellowship that comes with church attendance. Being we are Seventh Day Adventists we were not sure how we might like the Methodist Church. We were welcomed by many of the church members. It is a small congregation with a brand new Pastor. He and his wife were as new tonight as we were but they were pleasant and shook your hand. The church is under renovations so there is no service being held here for a few weeks. Just the community meal. And the food was so very good. Good food, good company. We will be watching for the reopening and we are both wanting to visit and get to know these United Methodist neighbors. It was very cold outside but very, very warm inside...Thank you God for leading us to the On Higher Ground United Methodist Church tonight. You always know what we need.
